Heat Pump London ("we", "us") operates the website at heatpumplondon.co.uk. We are a quote-comparison service that connects homeowners in London and Greater London with independent heat pump installers. We are not an installer and do not carry out installation work. For data protection purposes we are the data controller of the personal data you give us.

What data we collect

• Enquiry details: your name, contact details (email, phone), postcode, and the property information you provide in the quote form (property type, current heating, timeline).
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and any cookies enabled (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use your data

• To match your enquiry with suitable MCS-certified heat pump installers covering your area and to arrange your quotes.
• To contact you about your enquiry (by email or phone) where needed to complete the matching process.
• To operate, secure and improve the website.

Who we share your data with

To provide your quotes, your enquiry details are passed to our lead partner Bark.com and to the heat pump installers who respond to your enquiry through that service. Those installers act as independent data controllers for the data they receive and will contact you directly about your quote. Bark.com's own privacy policy applies to its processing of your data.

We do not sell your data to unrelated third parties, and we do not use your enquiry details for unrelated marketing.

Lawful basis

We process your enquiry data because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (arranging quotes you asked for), and on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating an effective comparison service, balanced against your rights. Where we rely on consent (for example, optional cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry details are kept for up to 24 months to handle your request, deal with any follow-up, and maintain records of the introduction. Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
